Lincoln County Family Loses Home To Fire

An early afternoon house fire took a family home on Wednesday The 23rd. Maxwell Volunteer Fire Chief Jim Falcon believes that the fire started in the furnace room and spread from there. Maxwell, Brady and North Platte fire departments all responded to the fire around 2:14 PM CDT. Falcon said that the home was occupied by a man, woman and their six children. They all made it safely out of the home before the fire began to spread through the house as well as to a near by propane tank and near by shed.

No one was injured and fire crews were able to leave the land around 9:00 PM CDT. Hirschfeld’s is collecting donations for the family you can also drop off any donations at The Huskeradio Studios at 307 East 4th Street, North Platte.
