
May 20, 2025 (Lincoln, Neb.) — During the month of April 2025, twenty people were killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
| These 20 fatalities occurred in 19 fatal crashes. |
| Four of the fifteen vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, seven were using a seatbelt, and four had seatbelt usage marked as unknown. |
| Fourteen of the fatalities were in rural locations*. |
| There was one fatality on the interstate, ten on other highways, and nine on local roads. |
| One of the fatalities was a pedestrian. |
| Four of the fatalities were motorcyclists. |
