Huskers Close Out Regular Season at Arkansas

The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team will hit the road to face No. 12 Arkansas on Friday, March 15, in both teams’ last regular-season meet of 2024. The dual is set to start at 7 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed on the SEC Network+.

NU leads the series with the Razorbacks, 6-4. The teams met last season, and Arkansas grabbed the 196.225-195.000 victory.

Last Time Out

The Huskers hosted the Ameritas Masters Classic on March 3, which featured NU, No. 4 Florida, Lindenwood and Eastern Michigan. The Big Red took second with a season-best score of 197.150.

Along with notching its season-best team score, Nebraska posted scores of 49.225 on vault and 49.450 on beam, both of which tied season highs.

Emma Spence earned the floor event title with a career-high score of 9.950. She also claimed second in the all-around with a season-best 39.550 and an average of 9.8875 across all events.

Csenge Bácskay scored a career-best 9.850 on beam, while Isabel Sikon tied her career high on vault (9.850) and Whitney Jencks tied her career high on floor (9.850).

Scouting the Competition

The Razorbacks are currently No. 12 in the Road to Nationals poll and average a 197.065 as a team. They are 7-6-1 on the season with a 4-2-1 mark in SEC competition. They own wins against No. 19 Georgia, No. 14 Auburn, Washington, No. 21 Arizona, TWU, No. 6 Kentucky and No. 13 Missouri.

Head Coach Jordyn Wieber is in her fifth season at the helm of Arkansas women’s gymnastics. Last season, she led the Razorbacks to their 19th consecutive regional appearance.
