NU Gears Up for NCATSU Stallings Invitational

 A week after posting six top-20 wins in Arkansas at the Mid-Winter Invitational, the Nebraska bowling team prepares for its last tournament of the spring, as the squad heads to Greensboro, N.C., for the NCATSU Stalling Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T. Action is set to begin at 8:55 a.m. (CT) on Friday, Feb. 23 and go through Sunday, Feb. 25, at Triad Lanes.

Alongside the No. 6 Huskers, No. 4 North Carolina A&T will host the fifth-annual NCATSU Stallings Invitational. The tournament will feature 10 of the top 25 NTCA nationally ranked teams in the country, six of them residing in the top 10, including No. 1 Jacksonville State, No. 3 Arkansas State, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 9 Duquense, No. 11 Sam Houston State, No. 12 Tulane, No. 13 Mount St. Mary’s and No. 14 Maryland Eastern Shore. Belmont Abbey, Coppin State, FAMU, Howard, LMU, Norfolk State, Texas Southern, University of Alabama Birmingham round out the 18-team field.

The Huskers will kick off the tournament on Friday morning with five matches of five baker game total pinfall. Saturday will consist of each team participating in five matches of traditional games starting at 7:25 a.m. (CT).

The combined results will seed each team for Sunday’s championship bracket to conclude the tournament. Each team will compete in three matches of best 4-of-7 baker games for final placements and awards beginning at 7:25 a.m. (CT).
