Nebraska swimming and diving capped off a two-day dual against Rutgers with a 240-113 victory, while tallying two relay pool records on day two of competition.
A team of Sarah Barton, JoJo Randby, Beatrix Tanko and Anna Vlachou set the record in the 400 medley relay, with a time of 3:39.59. Caitlin Cairns, Maia Hall, Lexi Kucera and Giulia Marchi grabbed second in the event (3:43.70).
In the 400 freestyle relay, Tanko, Vlachou, Marchi and Emily Haimes logged a time of 3:23.46 for a first-place finish and a facility record. Kucera, Gabby Donahue, Caterina Bisiacchi and Gena Jorgenson finished second (3:27.69).
In the 1650 freestyle, Jorgenson secured a first-place finish, with a time of 16:21.87. Bisiacchi finished as the runner-up (16:50.84).
Jorgenson earned her second win of the day in the 400 IM (4:20.94), while Barton finished in second (4:22.10). Barton went on to add a victory for the Huskers in the 100 backstroke, with a time of 54.84. Donahue finished third in the event (57.76).
The Huskers swept the top-three spots in the 50 freestyle, led by Randby earning the title with a time of 23.65. Haimes finished second (23.66) and Cairns took third (24.17).
Randby went on to add a title for the Big Red in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.62). Hall finished third, with a time of 1:02.39.
Freshmen Vlachou and Anastasia Tichy grabbed second and third in the 100 butterfly. Vlachou logged a time of 54.13 in the event and Tichy finished in 55.48.
The Huskers grabbed the top-three places in the 200 freestyle. Tanko touched the wall in 1:50.73 for the title, while Marchi finished second (1:50.98) and Kucera placed third (1:51.11).
On the one-meter dive, Antonina Harned was the top finisher for the Huskers. The freshman from Windermere, Fla. earned a score of 268.20 for a third-place finish. Kelsey Clairmont finished fourth for the Huskers (266.25).
The Huskers head to West Lafayette, Ind. for the Big Ten Championships Feb. 21-Feb. 24.
