The 43rd ANnual Nebraska Coach’s Association All-Star Basketball games will be played on July 24rd at Lincoln North Star High School and several area athletes were selected to play.
North Platte Saint Patrick’s Senior Tonja Heirigs was selected on the girl’s team, along with Maywood-Hayes Center’s Olivia Hansen and Gothenburg’s Kynlee Strauser. The full roster for the girl’s team can be viewed here. Falls City Sacred Heart’s Luke Santo will coach the team.
On the boy’s side, Ogallala Senior Jeron Gager was selected along with Mullen’s Clayton Moore. Joe Hesse of Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will coach the team. View the entire roster here.
According to the NCA website, nominations are collected from head coaches, respective sports advisory committee members and at the NCA Multi-Sports Clinic. The coach’s records, career stats and longevity are then taken into consideration. The sports advisory committees and at-large committee members determine the selections.
