The North Platte boy’s golf team finished in fifth at the Hastings Invite on Thursday, paced by Cayden Rombach’s 82. Rombach shot a 41 on both the front and back nine to lead North Platte, who finished with a team score of 349, just behind the host Hastings by a single stroke. Grand Island won the invite shooting a 315.
Individually, Rombach’s 82 was good for 12th overall, with the invite being won by Grand Island’s Marcus Holling.
North Platte saw all four of their scorers finish with a 90 or a below, as Rylan Perry shot an 87 and Elliott Longmore and Jesse Mauch both came in at a 90.
