Huskers Open Big Ten Play with Maryland, Iowa

Lincoln, Neb. – Behind six-straight 7-0 sweeps, the Nebraska women’s tennis (9-1, 0-0 Big Ten) looks to continue its momentum as NU hosts Maryland on Friday, March 8 at 2 p.m. (CT). On Sunday, the Huskers welcome rival Iowa with action set for 12 p.m. (CT). Both matches will be live-streamed on Playsight, and stats will be available on huskers.com. Scouting Maryland

  • Maryland has a four-game win streak and recently defeated Memphis, 5-2
  • Terrapins are led by Kallista Liu who is 8-2 singles play and doubles pair Maria Budin and Minorka Miranda is 9-2 on the season
  • UM is ranked No. 49 in the country. Individually, graduate student Selma Cedar is ranked No.77 in singles and in doubles with partner Mary Brumfield, the duo is No. 64 in the country.
