The North Platte Police Department participated in the “Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk”, impaired driving campaign. Sixteen traffic contacts were generated in the twenty hour, grant funded enforcement period. Of the sixteen traffic contacts generated, three drivers were arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. One person was apprehended on an active arrest warrant, and one person was arrested for Driving Under Suspension. The Police Department would like to thank the citizens of North Platte for all their efforts in making Super Bowl Sunday a safe event.
