Huskers Face North Dakota, Montana on Saturday

Lincoln, Neb. – After Sunday’s 6-1 victory over Illinois State, the Nebraska women’s tennis team welcomes North Dakota and Montana on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Huskers will face North Dakota at 9 a.m. (CT) and Montana at 5 p.m. (CT). Live stream and stats will be available on huskers.com, and match updates will be posted on X/Twitter at HuskerWTennis.

Scouting North Dakota

  • The Fighting Hawks went 11-13 record last season and posted a 5-2 mark in the Missouri Valley conference.
  • North Dakota is led by former Nebraska assistant coach (2018-2021) Tom Boysen.
  • For 2022-23 in singles play, UND was led by freshman Jule Schulte with a 6-5 record and the doubles pair of Andrea Jansson and Sapir Sela impressed with a 7-3 mark at the No. 1 spot.

Scouting Montana 

  • This season marks Head Coach Steve Ascher’s 14th season at Montana. Asher has been named the Big Sky Coach of the Year in both 2012 and 2014.
  • In the 2022-23 season, the Grizzlies were led by fifth-year Maria Goheen who was 9-7 in singles matches and the doubles pair of Lauren Dunlap and Rosie Sterk finished with a 13-6 record last season.
  • Montana’s roster consists of fifth years, Oliva Oosterbaan and Maria Goheen, senior Ivayla Mitkova, juniors Rosie Stark and Grace Haugen, sophomores Shivika Agrawal and Haley Murphy, and freshman Kelsey Phillips.

  • Nebraska has played Montana twice in school history and leads 2-0 all-time.
