Huskers Travel to Northwestern, #21 Wisconsin

After an impressive 2-0 performance last weekend in Big Ten competition, the No. 6 Nebraska wrestling team hits the road to face Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., on Friday,

Jan. 26 and No. 21 Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., on Sunday, Jan. 28. Action is slated to begin against the Wildcats (0-2, 0-2 Big Ten) at 7 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed on Big Ten Plus. On Sunday, the dual with the Badgers (6-2, 0-1 Big Ten) is set for 1 p.m. (CT) and will be aired on BTN with Shane Sparks and Jim Gibbons on the call.

When the Huskers (7-1, 2-1 Big Ten) face Northwestern, three of the 10 bouts will potentially feature matchups between ranked wrestlers. Against Wisconsin, the Big Red could see ranked opponents in five matches. Nine Huskers enter the weekend ranked, as No. 1 Ridge Lovett (149), No. 3 Lenny Pinto (184), No. 7 Brock Hardy (141) and No. 9 Peyton Robb (157) are all in the Top 10.

History: Nebraska and Northwestern meet for the 20th time in series history on Friday, with the Huskers leading 17-2. Against Wisconsin, the teams are tied all-time 12-12-2.

Last Time Out: Behind three bonus-point victories, the Huskers grabbed their second-straight conference win with the 27-14 defeat of Purdue in front of 2,527 fans on Sunday afternoon.
