Huskers Debut Season at Rocky Mountain Open

Ranked No. 3 in the preseason Big Ten conference poll Huskers are set to travel to Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo. to compete in the Rocky Mountain Open this weekend. Nebraska will take on Air Force, Oklahoma, and GymACT teams this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. CT at the Cadet West Gym.

Last Time Out

Nebraska enters the 2024 season after taking a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championship Finals and third place at the Big Ten Championships. The Huskers return 15 gymnasts from the previous season, including two returning All-Americans, Taylor Christopulos and Zac Tiderman. NU introduces five newcomers to the roster for 2024 including Anthony Koppie, Chase Mondi, Alex Nitache, Max Odden, and Cole Partridge.

Leading the Big Red this season are captains Taylor Christopulos, Sam Phillips, and Zac Tiderman. Notably, the Huskers come off the 2023 season highlighted by Taylor Christopulos earning the Big Ten Gold Vault title along with three All-America honors in the all-around, floor and parallel bars.

Scouting the Competition

The nationally ranked No. 5 Huskers will battle against No. 9 Air Force and No. 4 Oklahoma this weekend along with various GymACT teams. Stanford enters the competition as the previous National Champions since 2019, looking to make a big impact by maintaining the momentum from the season prior.
