Huskers Ready For Northeast Classic

Lincoln, Neb. – Coming off a second-place finish at the Stormin’ Blue & White Vegas Classic and the team’s first baker 300 since 2019, the Nebraska bowling team gears up for one of its biggest tournaments of the season at the Northeast Classic in New Castle, Delaware.

This weekend, Bowlerama will host 37 of the nation’s best bowling teams all battling for the title of Northeast Classic Champion. The 37 teams include 18 of the 25 NTCA nationally ranked teams in the country: No. 1 Jacksonville State, No. 2 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Louisiana Tech, No. 5 North Carolina A&T State, No. 6 Arkansas State, No. 9 Stephen F. Austin, No. 10 Maryville, No. 11 Sam Houston State, No. 12 Tulane, No. 13 Merrimack, No. 14 Maryland ES, No. 15 Mount Saint Mary, No. 17 Sacred Heart, No. 20 Oklahoma Christian, No. 21 McKendree, No. 23 UCM and No. 24 Delaware State.

Adelphi, Bryant, Chestnut Hill, Felician, Holy Family, Howard, LIU, Molloy, Morgan State, Mount Aloysius, NJCU, Niagara, Norfolk State, Southern, Saint Anselm, Saint Francis, UAB, Wagner and Wilmington will also compete at the event.

The Huskers will kick off the tournament on Friday with five matches of five baker games beginning at 9:30 a.m. (CT). On Saturday, each team will participate in five traditional matches, with the final match being a position round counting towards Sunday’s bracket play. The tournament will conclude with each team competing in three matches of best 4-of-7 baker games for final placements and awards.
