Sept. 20, 2023 (North Platte, Neb.)- Weather permitting, work will resume Sept. 25 on I-80 west of Ogallala, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Koss Construction of Topeka, Kan, is the prime contactor. Bridge work at reference post post 122+66 will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction. There will be a 12-foot width restriction in effect and the speed limit will be reduced to 65 mph. Anticipated completion is Oct. 2023.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
