NPPD Participates in Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign

The North Platte Police Department participated in the Drive Sober of Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign in partnership with the U.S. department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) from August 18th and ran through September 4th.

Department wide, a total of 160 traffic contacts were made. Eight arrests were made for DUI-Alcohol. One arrest was made for DUI-Drugs. Eighteen speeding citations were issued. Eleven citations were issued for violation of traffic control devices. Eight people were arrested during traffic contacts relating to active arrest warrants. Four felony arrests were made.

509 grams of suspected methamphetamine were seized. Four grams of suspected marijuana were seized. One dosage unit of fentanyl was seized. A suspected stolen vehicle from Hastings, was seized.
