North Platte Police Release Results of Drug Impaired Driving Campaign

The North Platte Police Department has released results from their “Drug Impaired Driving” campaign in cooperation with the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

From April 19-23, NPPD participated in the program, logging 100 overtime hours on streets in North Platte. A total of 83 traffic contacts were made, with 21 citations issued. Six of those were for speeding, while six were issued for traffic signal violations. Two citations were issued for driving under suspension and one was issued for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Five total arrests were made for driving under the influence, with four involving alochol and one for drugs. Also five fugitive arrests were made on outstanding warrants. One felony arrest was made for possession of methamphetamine.
