A local eighth grader is starting a new venture, opening his own sneaker shop in downtown North Platte. Tim Blakely, 14, will open Tanks this Saturday for his grand opening at 100 East 5th Street in North Platte, selling exclusive and unique sneakers to the masses.
Blakely is an eighth grader at North Platte Saint Patrick’s Schools and began with the idea after falling in love with sneakers from watching Youtube videos. Currently the store has around 400 pair of shoes in stock and around 200 ready for display.
