Nebraska State Patrol investigators performed alcohol inspections at businesses in Scotts Bluff and Lincoln Counties earlier this month. During the evening hours of Friday, November 18, investigators conduced alcohol inspections at 12 businesses in Lincoln County. Three of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor, for a compliance rate of 75%. All of the businesses checked the minor’s ID.
The operation was supported in whole or part by grant #93.959 under the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Region II Human Services, and the Nebraska DHHS Division of Behavioral Health. During the evening hours of Saturday, November 19, investigators conducted alcohol inspections at 79 businesses in Scotts Bluff County. Five of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor, for a compliance rate of 94%. The five businesses that sold alcohol to a minor also failed to check the minor’s ID.

Main Street Wine and Spirits – Scottsbluff Cigarette Chain – Scottsbluff
Businesses that sell alcohol to a minor are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol for a minor.
