A former Fremont Police Officer has one again been convicted of sexually assaulting a child. According to Douglas County District Court records, on Wednesday, a jury found Austin Williams, 37, guilty of first and third-degree sexual assault of a child, as well as incest. A complaint outlining the charges say the incidents occurred between April 1, 2018, and August 31, 2018, when the victim was between the ages of 13 and 14. Williams is set to be sentenced on these charges on Oct. 5. Tri-City Television Station NTV reports that, Williams was convicted in January on a separate, but related charge in Dodge County of third-degree sexual assault of a child. Williams was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on that charge. He was found not guilty of additional charges of first-degree sexual assault of a child, attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child and incest. This incident involved the same victim and occurred between August 2015 and August 2018 when the victim was between the ages of 11 and 14. Williams was a five-year veteran of the Fremont force when he was fired in February 2019.
