
The Chase County Longhorns continued their long running excellence on the track and field side, claiming the team titles at the Sutherland Invite on Thursday, beating North Platte Saint Pat’s on both girl’s and boy’s. The Longhorns dominated the girl’s scores, more than doubling up the Irish and the rest of the field with 191 team points. The Irish were second with 86, followed by Sutherland, Perkins County and Wallace.
The Longhorns edged out the Irish on the boy’s side with 107 team points, ahead of NPSP at 92. Perkins County, Sandhills Valley and Hershey rounded out the boy’s top five.
