Lincoln County dominated the D-6 cross-country invites in Bridgeport Thursday as Hershey boys and North Platte Saint Patrick’s girl’s teams won titles.
Hershey’s Gabe Becher led the Panthers finishing in sixth, joining two other teammates in the top 15. Mullen’s Trevor Kuncl won the meet with NPSP led by Logan O’Malley who finished in sixth. The Irish came in second as a team and also qualifies as a team. Sutherland was led by Jade Paxton who finished in 11th.
On the girl’s side the Irish dominated, finishing with 24 team points and taking three of the top five spots individually. Molly Paxton of Mullen won the meet while the Irish’s Kate Stienike and Genna Blakely followed. Adrian Eakins of Paxton finished in third with NPSP’s Hayley Miles rounding out the top five.
The top 15 runners and top three teams qualify for the State Cross Country Meet, to be held next week in Kearney. Those 15 qualifiers and team scores are below.
