The North Platte boy’s golf team finished in a tie for sixth at the Capital City Invite in Lincoln Thursday among a stacked group of competition. Norfolk handily won the meet, both team and individually, continuing their dominance in the state. Luke Kluver, a Kansas Jayhawk commit, shot a school record 64 to win the meet, ten strokes ahead of the pack. That score is also the low round of the year in the state.
Norfolk won the team score at 296, with Southwest at 311 in second. North Platte and Creighton Prep tied at 327, good for sixth. Kasch Morrison led North Platte with a 78, good for a tie for seventh. Teammate Tanner Ruda shot an 81 with Jayden Jones at 83. Drew Phillips followed with an 85 and Finn Lucas shot an 86 overall.
