Area teams battled at the annual Mike Troxel Track Invite in Hershey Thursday, with Chase County bringing home the team titles. The Longhorns won the boy’s title by 65 points, finishing with 166 with Perkins County in second and South Loup in third. Mullen and North Platte Saint Pat’s were separated by a point, good for fourth and fifth. Sutherland and Hershey finished in sixth and seventh respectively.
On the girl’s side, it was a closer race but still a Longhorn title. The Lady Longhorns finished with 134 team points ahead of second-place NPSP who finished at 122. Hershey was third with South Loup and Mullen rounding out the top five. Sutherland finished in seventh.
