North Platte Man Arrested After Shooting

A North Platte man has been arrested and charged with first degree assault after an incident on Sunday night led to another man suffering a gunshot wound. Isaac Brown has also been charged with tampering with physical evidence. Around 3:51 PM, a male subject came to the emergency room at Great Plains Health with a gunshot wound. The North Platte Police Department responded and quickly determined the incident occurred outside city limits. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and found the location of the shooting was in a trailer court at 4005 West 14th Street, North Platte, NE. (just outside of North Platte city limits).

The 42-year-old male victim could not tell deputies and officers what had taken place and went into emergency surgery. He is reported to be in stable condition at Great Plains Health.

With the assistance of North Platte Police Department, Sheriff’s Office Investigators were able to detain and arrest a thirty five year old North Platte man identified as Isaac Brown. Brown was incarcerated in the Lincoln County Detention Center on First Degree Assault and Tampering with Physical Evidence. An extensive ongoing investigation is being conducted with possibly more arrests to follow.
