North Platte, NE — On Thursday, July 31, 2025, officers with the North Platte Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance in the 2600 block of West 1st Street. As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities are seeking assistance from the public in locating the suspect. An airplane has been flying over North Platte to assist in the search.
Police are currently looking for Andrew Liewer, age 40. He is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds. At the time he was last seen, Liewer was reportedly wearing a red shirt, which may have the number 44 imprinted on it, along with a black ball cap and shorts.
It is believed that Liewer may have sustained lacerations to his arms and could be in need of medical attention.
