The Nebraska School Activities Association released their Coaches for Champions recipients Wednesday. The organization selects one coach from each sports both on the boys’ and girls’ side.
Two area North Platte coaches were selected as Brian Jahnke of North Platte Public Schools was selected for the girls’ swimming & diving winner.
North Platte St. Patrick’s had a winner of their own as well with William O’Malley receiving the boys’ basketball honor.
The Champions for Coaches award honors active coaches who go above and beyond for kids and their communities.
The recipients will be honored Friday, March 8th at 6 P.M. CST during halftime of the first Class A Boys State Basketball semifinal game held at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
