
North Platte, Neb. – The North Platte Community College softball team fell to McCook Community College in a doubleheader on Thursday.

McCook set the tone early, opening the game with a grand slam and adding two more runs in the first inning.
The Indians continued to build their lead with one run in the second, two in the third, and two more in the fourth to secure the win.
Kinsley Lawrence got the start in the circle for the Knights, pitching three innings. She allowed eight hits and nine runs while recording two strikeouts and issuing three walks.

North Platte struck first, plating two runs in the opening inning.
The Indians responded in the bottom of the second, erupting for nine runs on seven hits to seize a 10-2 advantage. McCook extended their lead with two more runs in the third inning.
The Knights managed to push across a run in the fifth but were unable to comeback.
Julia Leicht got the start in the circle, pitching two innings. She allowed 10 runs on 10 hits while recording one strikeout and issuing no walks.
North Platte (3-35) returns home for their last home game of the season against Western Nebraska Community College. First pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday.
