WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) called for expedited passage of the bipartisan solution to end the government shutdown.

“Last night, eight Democrats finally joined Republicans to begin re-opening government,” said Senator Ricketts.  “This bipartisan package is important for Nebraska.  It extends critical farm bill authorities and supports agricultural research at the University of Nebraska.  It also delivers funding to support critical missions at Offutt Air Force Base.  We should pass this bill quickly and give Americans relief.”
