NORTH PLATTE, NEDan Osborn, the lifelong independent running for U.S. Senate against incumbent Pete Ricketts, will hold a town hall meeting in North Platte on Sunday, September 7th at 1:30 PM CST at Gathering Spot. The event is free and open to the public.

The town hall will feature remarks by Osborn on his priorities and vision for Nebraska, followed by a question and answer session where attendees can ask questions and share their thoughts and insights.

“Our movement to make the government work for working people doesn’t start behind closed doors in a boardroom. It starts in these towns and cities across Nebraska,” said Osborn. “I’m going to meet people where they’re at, listen to their concerns, hear their solutions, and understand what’s happening in their communities because that’s what politicians should be doing.”

In 2024, Osborn turned what was expected to be a safe Republican Senate seat into a competitive race, losing by just seven percentage points while outperforming all Democrats in the country. His challenge to Senator Pete Ricketts represents a stark contrast between a working-class union leader and a billionaire businessman.
