OGALLALA, NE — Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack presented the Ogallala Public Schools with a $25,000 donation Wednesday.
Vice President and General Manager of Elite Casino Resorts Sharon Haselhoff and Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack General Manager Thomas Frank presented the $25,000 check to Ogallala Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Gene Russel and team.
“This donation helps close the gap on the total funding for the video board project,” says Sharon Haselhoff, Vice President of Elite Casino Resorts. “We are happy to be part of Keith County and Ogallala. This donation today shows our commitment to the community. We pride ourselves in strong community partnerships and giving back to the communities and people we serve, and this donation marks our first contribution as the newly opened Lake Mac Casino,” she added.

The funds will help support the purchase of two new 16’ x 10’ video scoreboards in the competition gym at Prairie View. Students will be learning how to create and schedule content on the scoreboards and new opportunities for student development are available through additional content available to IT classes focusing on content design, scheduling, and production. The impact of the video boards will extend beyond sports into fine arts and other curriculum areas.
