Secretary of State Bob Evnen was announced as the 2025-2026 treasurer for the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Executive Board yesterday at the NASS 2025 Summer Conference in Biloxi, Mississippi. Secretary Evnen has served as a member of the NASS Executive Board for the last two years and will serve as treasurer for one year. Subsequently, he will serve one year as president-elect, followed by one year as president.

“It is an honor to have earned the confidence of my colleagues who serve as secretaries of state across the country,” said Secretary Evnen, in recognition of the announcement.

NASS is a nonpartisan organization consisting of secretaries of state from across the country. The organization’s mission is to serve as a medium for the exchange of information in areas such as elections, records management and business services. They also foster cooperation among states in the development of public policy.

“I’m extremely appreciative of Secretary Evnen agreeing to serve on this year’s Executive Board. His knowledge and guidance will be invaluable to our team’s leadership and to the association as a whole,” said Michael Watson, NASS President and Mississippi Secretary of State.
