The North Platte Police Department participated in a Speed Enforcement Campaign sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) from July 12th to July 31st.
A total of 215 traffic contacts were made department wide. Forty-seven traffic citations were issued. Eleven citations were issued for speeding. Eight citations were issued for Operator’s License violations. Three citations were issued for traffic signal violations.
Five arrests were made for DUI. Seven people were jailed on arrest warrants. One person was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
One juvenile was cited for MIP and one person was cited for Open Container.
