
Lincoln, Neb. (Aug. 1, 2025) – The HALT Human Trafficking Fund opened its second round of grant applications today. Applications are due by Aug. 31.
The HALT Fund provides financial support to Nebraska-based organizations focused on preventing human trafficking before it occurs.
Eligible applicants include:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
- School systems
- Municipalities
- Law enforcement agencies
- Local or state government entities
Projects must fall into one of the following focus areas:
- Education – such as public awareness campaigns, specialized training, or school-based programming
- Research and Data Collection – including the development of tools to gather or analyze trafficking data
- Technology and Innovation – including mobile apps, reporting platforms, or safety tools to support prevention
All funded projects must demonstrate a clear prevention focus.
