
July 18, 2025 (Lincoln, Neb.) — During the month of June 2025, eighteen people were killed in traffic crashes on Nebraska roadways, according to data collected by the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
- These 18 fatalities occurred in 15 fatal crashes.
- Eight of the fifteen vehicle occupants killed were not using seatbelts, seven were using a seatbelt, and zero had seatbelt usage marked as unknown.
- Twelve of the fatalities were in rural locations*.
- There were two fatalities on the interstate, six on other highways, and ten on local roads.
- Three of the fatalities were pedestrians.
- One of the fatalities was driving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
