LINCOLN – Nebraska Secretary of State Bob Evnen invites business and industry leaders to take part in a trade and investment mission to Egypt. The mission offers Nebraskans access to a growing market. Egypt’s position in North Africa makes it an ideal gateway to doing business in the greater MENA region. The mission is scheduled for Oct. 26-Nov. 2, 2025. The schedule is subject to change.

Egypt’s economy is projected to grow steadily, making now an opportune time for Nebraska businesses to familiarize themselves with the Egyptian market. Nebraska excels in several sectors that Egypt is keen to invest in, including agricultural goods, manufacturing, water management, medical technology and more. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet with local businesses and government officials to forge strategic partnerships, explore developing markets and gain firsthand insight into one of the fastest-growing economies in the region.

“A trade mission provides delegates with vital insight into how business is done in the local market and key introductions to leaders who can be pivotal in getting international trade deals off the ground,” said Secretary Evnen. “Participating in these missions also equips delegates with a boost of local credibility that can help them get established in the foreign market.”

The 2025 Trade and Investment Mission to Egypt will be Secretary Evnen’s eighth international trade mission since taking office in 2019. The Secretary of State has the statutory responsibility to promote international exchanges of commerce, education and culture. Secretary Evnen has been a part of trade missions to Taiwan, Kenya, Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.

Deputy Secretary for International Trade, Cindi Allen, will assist Secretary Evnen in leading the mission, contributing her extensive trade expertise to what is sure to be a high-impact initiative that will advance Nebraska’s interests abroad.
