(North Platte, Nebraska,M ay 16, 2025) – With the busy travel season kicking off and all the seasonal attractions in our community opening back up, the staff and volunteers of Visit North Platte are looking forward to another year of promoting all the great places in Lincoln County!
These are the friendly faces that greet visitors when they stop into the North Platte Visitors Center. These Fun Advisors provide visitors with different things to do and see while in our community. To ensure that the staff and volunteers of Visit North Platte have the most up-to-date information about what North Platte and Lincoln County offers, Visit North Platte has scheduled an Attraction Tour for Monday, May 19th.
Jim Griffin, the curator of the Lincoln County Historical Museum, will help to guide the tour. Jim is incredibly knowledgeable about local history and our community and will be able to share lesser-known facts as well as answer questions along the way. These individuals will be visiting, driving by, and/or learning about Dusty Trails, Buffalo State Historical Park, the Lincoln County Historical Museum, the Golden Spike Tower, Fort Cody Trading Post, the Old Depot Vineyard & Winery, Feather River Vineyard,
Fort McPherson, Grain Bin Antique Town, Cody Go-Karts, Peg Leg Brewing, the 20th Century Veteran’s Memorial, the Downtown Canteen District, the Sculpture Walk Across Nebraska project, and the Cody Park Railroad Museum. They will also be enjoying lunch at Capone’s.
Visit North Platte would like to thank Buffalo Bill State Historical Park, Dusty Trails, the Golden Spike Tower, and the Lincoln County Historical Museum for letting these volunteers visit their attractions free of charge and for donating their time to make this a fun, educational, and memorable experience. Thank you for helping us prepare our volunteers for another great tourism season!
