Thirty Eight students were recognized for their ACT scores at an academic Pep Rally at North Platte High School Friday morning.

NPHS Principal Cory Spotanski said the rally was held in response to “significant improvements” by sophomores and juniors who took the standardized American College Testing exam.

At the rally, 16 students were awarded certificates for scoring between 20-24 on their ACT. Those who scored between 25-29 were awarded iPads, and those who scored over 30 were awarded Mac Books.

North Platte businesses and community members, along with the North Platte Public Schools Foundation, donated the computers and tablets to the students.
