The North Sutherland Bridge was marked Monday morning with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The five current Lincoln County commissioners invited to the public to come out to the new bridge and celebrate with them. Alongside the Lincoln County Commissioners were Sutherland Chamber of Commerce members, Highway Safety Officers, construction workers who helped complete the project and many others.
The bridge officially closed down October 25th, 2023 and re-opened August 30th, 2024. The original opening was planned for June of 2025 but due to favorable working conditions over the ten month stretch the crew was able to complete the project ahead of schedule.
