Gov. Jim Pillen made an appearance at Lee Bird Regional Airport this afternoon in North Platte to make give a recap on his “State of the State” address. Pillen was welcomed by dozens of locals around the North Platte area for his remarks. Gov. Pillen spoke for roughly 45 minutes, followed by a Q and A session. The second-year Governor really focused on the importance of lowering the property tax for Nebraskans. “We rank seventh in property tax. When you look at families who have worked their whole life in Nebraska, and they’re contemplating having to sell their homes because of the most regressive property tax is taking them out of their homes.”
Governor Jim Pillen emphasized he looked forward to returning to North Platte.
