Tuesday evening members of the North Platte Wellness Alliance gave a presentation to the North Platte City Council on the future of recreation in North Platte. Including the future of the North Platte Rec Center, Cody Pool and the North Platte Skate Park. A virtual tour of the proposed Rec Center can be viewed below:
North Platte Mayor Brandon Kelliher discussed the project Tuesday morning on Huskeradio’s Mugs in the Morning with Tristen Winder on KODY.
The issue will next be discussed at a City Council Work Session in June and a vote from the council is expected in July to place a half cent sales tax increase on the November election ballot to fund a portion of what’s being purposed. Our full interview with Mayor Kelliher can be found below:
