Hitmaker Cassadee Pope joined Huskeradio’s Tristen Winder ahead of her return to the Comstock Windmill Festival. The former Voice contestant found her passion for music at a young age – singing 90’s country covers at local talent contests in her hometown of West Palm Beach, FL.  As a teenager, her musical tastes shifted her to punk rock as she became the lead singer for and traveled the world touring with her band Hey Monday. Cassadee discussed everything from her excitement to return to Nebraska to her current album and recent single “If my Heart Had a Heart.”

After accepting an invitation to compete for a spot on The Voice, she became the first female winner and Grammy nominee after winning Season 3.  Since then, she has returned to her Country roots.  Her hits “Wasting All These Tears” and “Summer” became fan favorites, and now as an independent artist, she has found creative freedom with new songs “Take You Home,” “One More Red Light’ and her latest single “If My Heart Had A Heart.”  Cassadee has recently finished her first independent country album ‘stages’ which is available now!
