Cross Country took over the state of Nebraska Thursday, as district contests were held and state meet invites were earned. The top finish in our area came from North Platte Saint Patrick’s who took the D-5 title in Cambridge in a dominating way, finishing with a team score of 10 points, 41 ahead of second place Cambridge. The Lady Irish had five runners finish in the top 10 individually, led by Kelsey Folchert who finished at 19:55, about 25 second ahead of the entire pack.

Other notable area finishes came from the North Platte Lady Bulldogs, who finished in third at the B-4 District and qualified as a team. They were led by Freshman Alexis Hoatson who came in 10th overall. The entire list of area qualifiers is available below. Those qualifying for state will compete next Friday, October 19th at the Kearney Country Club.
