The North Platte Lady Bulldogs team put together a team day, good enough for an A-3 District Title at Elks Country Club in Columbus on Monday. North Platte finished with a team score of 351, six strokes ahead of second place Millard North. It was a tw0-team race, as Grand Island came in third but well behind at 384.
Individually, Baylee Steele continued her sensational sophomore campaign, shooting a 76 good for second overall. Columbus’ Aspen Luebbe won the invite with a 75 on her home course. But the story of the day may have been her teammates, who came through with three more top-10 finishes. Senior Riley Smith shot an 87, good for 6th, while Junior Maggie Lashley and Sophomore Maya Lashley both shot a 94 to round out the top 10.
Now up next for the Lady Bulldogs will be the State Tournament which for Class A will be held at the Norfolk Country Club in Norfolk next Monday and Tuesday, October 8th and 9th. Full individual qualifiers and team qualifiers are below. The entire field’s results are available here.
