The National Weather Service expects water levels to rise with increased releases from the Kingsley Dam at Lake McConaughy. Wyoming reservoirs almost at capacity levels are letting out snow melt, this will affect the capacity of Lake McConaughy. Currently the flood level is at mild and with the release of water upstream the flood level will be reset to moderate. Flooding is expected in low lying areas including the north bank of the North Platte River. Cody Park will be affected with river water flowing over banks and into the park.
