North Platte Police Arrest Convicted Felons for Possession of Deadly Weapons

Last Friday April 3rd, 2026 at around 8:00 A.M., officers from the North Platte Police Department received credible information that Andrew Roepke, a convicted felon, was in possession of firearms.

A search warrant was obtained for Andrew Roepke’s residence located in the 2800 block of W. 19th.  Several prohibited weapons were found in the residence.  The weapons reportedly belonged to Andrew Roepke, his brother, Nathaniel Roepke, who is a convicted felon, and their father, Vernon Roepke a convicted felon. Several prohibited edged weapons and firearms were seized.

Andrew Roepke was arrested for Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person a Class ID Felony.  Vernon Roepke was charged with Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person a 1D Felony.  Andrew and Vernon Roepke were incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center.

Nathaniel Roepke was not present when the search warrant was served.  He was contacted and arrested for Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person a Class III Felony on 04-04-26. Nathaniel Roepke was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.

Probable Cause was also developed to indicate that Jonathan Jones, a convicted felon,  was in possession of firearms associated with this case.  Jones was not present at the time the warrant was served. On April 3rd ,  Jonathan Jones was arrested for Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person a Class ID Felony.  Jones was incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
