
The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team ended its season with a 195.000 in Session II of the second round of the NCAA Championships in Baton Rouge, La. on Thursday.
No. 2 LSU earned a 198.375, No. 15 Clemson scored a 196.800 and Auburn notched a 195.500. LSU and Clemson advanced to the regional final on Saturday.
Individual event finalists will be determined after all sessions are finished on Saturday.
Rotation One
Behind a 9.900 from Lauren Homecillo, NU started the night on floor with a 49.125. Tegan Shaver (9.850), Nya Kraus (9.800) and Isabel Sikon (9.800) followed Homecillo. Allie Gard (9.775) rounded out the lineup.
Rotation Two
Nebraska continued the night with a 48.350 on vault. Sikon led the way with a 9.725, followed by Karys Griffin with a 9.700. Shaver (9.650), Peyton Pech (9.650) and Reese Baechle (9.625) completed the rotation.
Rotation Three
The Huskers moved to bars, where they scored a 48.875 as a team. Kraus was the leader for NU with a 9.850. Molly Peterson and Sikon both notched 9.800s to follow Kraus. Shaver (9.775) and Griffin (9.650) rounded out the rotation.
Rotation Four
NU concluded the contest on beam, posting a 48.650. Homecillo and Sikon led the rotation with a pair of 9.800s. Olivia Burns (9.750) and Karys Griffin (9.675) followed for the Big Red. Kraus (9.625) concluded the competition.
