
Nebraska gymnast Nya Kraus picked up Big Ten weekly honors, as she was named Big Ten Co-Specialist of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
In the Huskers’ 197.225-196.825 road loss at Iowa on Saturday, Feb. 7, Kraus won the beam title with a career-high 9.925. She also claimed a share of the bars title with another career-high 9.925 and notched a season high on floor (9.850). Kraus gained her second and third individual titles of her career with all three coming this season.
Her 9.925 was the highest score given to a Husker on any event this season. The Canadian played a crucial part in the Huskers getting their highest scores on bars (49.400), beam (49.275), floor (49.200) and team score (196.825) this season.

The Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday that junior Chase Mondi has been named Specialist of the Week.
Mondi earned the honor after a dominant performance in a dual meet against Penn State. He helped lead Nebraska to a 318.600-317.150 victory, capturing event titles on floor with a 14.25 and on vault with a 14.05.
Mondi was a floor All-American during the 2024-25 season after earning a silver medal on the event at the NCAA Championships. He competed for the Huskers on both floor and vault at the 2024 and 2025 NCAA Championships. His career-high on floor is 14.40, and his career-high on vault is 14.65.
