Sioux City, Iowa – The North Platte Community College men’s golf team wrapped up their season in Sioux City, Iowa on Tuesday afternoon. Knights finished the tournament 110-over par to place 12th in the team standings.
Treyten York finished in 46th place at 242 (+26) after three rounds at the Whispering Creek Golf Course. York opened the tournament with a round of 77, which placed him in a tie for 20th place. A tough second round that featured six bogies and two double bogies moved him down the leaderboard, but he rebounded on the final day with a round of 81.
Sophomores Cole Kramer and Taytom Timbers finished the tournament with 48th and 49th place finishes. Kramer improved his score every round, while Timbers saved his best for the final round.
Caeson Clarke closed out the tournament with his best round of 79 to finish tied for 51st place.
Layne Smotzer rounded out the North Platte players in the field by finishing 54th at 251 (+35), while notching his best round of 81 on Sunday afternoon.
