North Platte, Neb. – North Platte Community College fell in both games of a Sunday doubleheader against Northeastern Junior College.

Northeastern set the tone early, scoring four runs in the top of the second inning. North Platte got on the board in the third when Sarah LeBere singled to bring home Nayely Duran.
The Plainswomen added runs in the fourth and fifth to extend their lead, while the Knights got their second run later in the fifth.
Northeastern put the game out of reach by adding four more runs in the final inning to secure the win.
Danica Unger went 6.2 innings in the circle for North Platte, allowing 10 runs (three earned) on 15 hits, while striking out one and walking one.

North Platte scored first on a LeBere sacrifice fly in the opening inning.
Northeastern answered with a three-run home run in the third to take a 3-1 lead, but the Knights responded in the bottom half to tie the game.
Northeastern added a run in the fourth before North Platte regained the lead on an RBI single from Kinsley Lawrence and pushed it to 6-4 with another run in the sixth.
In the seventh, Northeastern scored three runs to secure the victory.
Areliana Bravo pitched a complete game, allowing seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
North Platte (2-20) continues its homestand Monday against Hastings College JV, with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
