Council Bluffs, Iowa – North Platte wrapped up its four game series in Council Bluffs on Saturday with a pair of losses to Iowa Western Community College.

Iowa Western struck early in the bottom of the first inning, using two home runs to plate three runs. The Reivers extended their advantage in the third inning, scoring five runs on two hits.
North Platte’s lone run came in the fourth inning when Nayely Duran crossed the plate following a Reivers error. Iowa Western added two more runs in the fourth on another home run to seal the victory.
Kaylee Davis started in the circle for the Knights, pitching three innings. She allowed five hits and eight runs (four earned) while recording two strikeouts and two walks.

Iowa Western got on the board in the second inning, scoring one run on a triple and another after a runner tagged up on a caught fly ball.
The Reivers broke the game open in the third inning, scoring five runs, they added their final run in the fourth to secure the win.
Danica Unger started in the circle for the Knights, allowing eight hits and eight runs over four innings. She struck out one and walked two.
Knights (1-9) return home for a doubleheader against Trinidad State College on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
